Welcome to the New York Metropolitan Chapter of the American Payroll Association!

The New York Metropolitan Chapter - APA is affiliated with the American Payroll Institute Inc., which is known as the American Payroll Association - the national organization. The NY Metro Chapter came into existence on February 20, 1992 through the merger of the Brooklyn/Queens Chapter and the NYC-Midtown Chapter.

As an autonomous and independent organization, the New York Metro Chapter - APA offers its members:

Networking

Personal networking with your peers for the professional growth. Expand your professional network with APA's Guide to Social Networking.

Chapter Meetings

Attend chapter meetings to learn about the latest trends in payroll, technology, legislative updates, year-end issues, related payroll issues, personal improvement techniques.

Recognition and Professional Growth

Learn new skills, build on existing one, volunteer to lead or become a team member of one of the chapter committees and enhance your visibility by being the best in your field.

Regardless of the size of a payroll, the number of people in the payroll department, the industry or payroll system, see how others are solving their problems. Tap into the chapter network to gain local industry insights from our professional Payroll and Human Resource members.

Our 2014 Winter Study Group's tentative dates are from January 15th through March 19th

CPP Study Groups

Take advantage of studying with chapter members who share the same problems and situations: administration, compliance, sound management and research timeliness. Today's payroll department needs professionals to run it. The New York Metro Chapter can help you achieve your goal. In fact, Chapter members are the instructors in the New York City colleges offering payroll courses, such as the Payroll Professional Learning Series and Paytrain (under the auspices of the Holmes Corporation and the American Payroll Association). Be on the lookout for the Summer 2014 CPP/FPC Study Group.
